The Duhovka Literature and Art Festival

A joint exhibition of all our children's work was held in January 2012 at Písecká brána.

Start of teaching	8.30 a.m.
Snack	9.15 a.m. - 10.40 a.m.
Lunch	12.20 p.m. - 1.10 p.m.
After-school center	from lunchtime through 5.30 p.m.

Morning

Children can arrive at the school starting from a quarter to eight. Classes start at half past eight. A "tea party" then follows, where we talk about upcoming events at school, share any exceptional accomplishments, take a moment together to wish anyone who is celebrating a happy birthday, and have "compliments time". Every Monday the whole school meets up for an assembly. On other days, each class starts off with a "tea party" with their class teacher. After the first class a snack is prepared for the children, which they go for by 10.40 a.m. at the latest, depending on the needs and capacities of particular classes and children. During breaks for recess, children can move freely around the whole school, including the garden, if accompanied by a teacher.

Meals

Children and adults have their snacks and lunches in a cozy, home-style, lunchroom which we have been running at the school since September 1992.

After-school center

In the afternoon there are two different programs on offer: for children who would like to take part in coordinated activities, and for children who would prefer to organize their own. The coordinated program is announced in advance, and each child can either choose to participate or decide to "just" play. The organized after-school center program ends at 5.30 pm.
